WE NEED YOU!
Calling all Counsellor's and Trustee's
We are always looking to recruit more volunteers to our organisation in order to support our clients. While we are definitely not going to turn anyone away who could add value to our charity, we are looking for qualified Counsellors and Board Members in particular.
Please see below for details and if you think you fit the bill, please do get in touch.
PARTNER WITH US
We are always looking for opportunities to work with other agencies, support our clients to other agencies and we like to promote joined up working.
While we are seeking our own premises and HQ, we are always on the look out for space to carry out our valuable services so that we can concentrate on doing what we do best - supporting our clients.
If you feel you could work with us, refer to us or help us with space, please do get in touch via the contact button above.
Forever Ahead Community Board Member / Trustee Vacancies
Forever Ahead Community is a very new, small, but growing voluntary organisation with ambitious plans for
future expansion of its services as well as becoming a registered charity.
Currently, we operate as a company limited by guarantee. The board of directors of the company will also become trustees of the charity.
To help us grow we need experienced members of the public to join our Board. We are particularly keen to recruit members
of the local community in East Herts and West Essex who have one or more of the following skills:
• Experience of supporting a person with a mental health issue.
• Expertise in Marketing, PR, accountancy, governance and/or fundraising.
Currently, board meetings are held every month at Herts & Essex Sports Club on a Monday evening between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.
The Board is responsible for setting the strategy and policies of Forever Ahead Community as well as guiding and supporting the Chief Executive and his staff of volunteers while the set up is still being implemented as well as assisting with fundraising.

Are you a newly qualified counselling looking to build your hours and develop your counselling skills? Or an experienced counsellor looking to donate your time to a worthy cause?
An opportunity has arisen within Forever Ahead Community, a charity that provides long term, ongoing counselling and therapeutic support to individuals.
Forever Ahead Community works with clients who are facing issues in their lives that are causing them to suffer with feelings of Anxiety, Depression or Stress and impacting on their well-being.
We provide counselling sessions on a suggested donation basis, ensuring that everyone can access the support they need. If a client is unable to access counselling safely due to other issues or dual diagnosis, we support the client to another agency to seek the right support which will then hopefully enable them to access counselling in a safe and ethical way.
What we ask is that you can offer us up to 4 hours counselling for individuals.
That you are registered to BACP, UKCP, BPS, PTUK, AHMN or equivalent.
That you keep concise factual notes.
Alert us to any safeguarding issues that may arise.
Use supervision well and look after yourself.
What we offer is
BACP Accredited Supervision on a monthly basis.
A place to learn
Ongoing CPD days
Great team support and a chance to become a paid counsellor in the future.
We will also complete a DBS for you.
If this sounds like a place you would like to volunteer and can spare 4 hours a week then please contact Adrian on 07391 233330 or Email your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org
